Panel Discussion: Faith in Service of the City

November 29, 2017 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
Rolfe Hall, Rm 1200,

What does it mean to serve a city? “Faith in Service of the City” is an event designed to create dialogue on–and offer potential models of–how residents of Los Angeles use their faith commitments, tools, resources, beliefs, practices, and so forth to mobilize service acts to our city. Panelists representing significant faith-motivated organizations in the city will share about the work they do, the challenges they face, and the successes they’ve had in a hybrid presentational and moderated dialogue format. Audience Q+A and discussion will also feature. An excellent opportunity to think through relations between theory, theology, and practice, as well as to meet–and potentially join!– those on the front line of service work in the City of Angels.
