Third Annual Pan-UC Religious Studies Conference

Call for Participation
UCLA’s Center for the Study of Religion is pleased to announce plans for convening the Third Annual Pan-UC Religious Studies Conference on our campus on Friday, April 2, 2027. This one-day conference will be a chance to connect with your fellow student and faculty colleagues from across the UC-system. The program will be crafted with our interests and needs in mind. We’ll have the opportunity to present and/or listen to research presentations, discuss what’s happening in our various Religious Studies communities, workshop professionalization and survival strategies, identify shared resources for building compassion and strengthening solidarity within our extended communities, and more.
Call for Participation Information:
In order to structure the program for the day, it is important that we have your input no later than Friday, December 18th. Please let us know that you’ll attend, how you’d like to participate and what you want to have happen that day by filling out this form by the December 18 deadline. THANK YOU!
Abstract submission:
If you would like to present your research at the conference, please send your abstract to csr@humnet.ucla.edu. The deadline for abstract submissions is December 18, 2026.
The paper abstract should be 200-250 words, with a title and your university affiliation; paper presentations should aim to be no longer than 15 minutes.
Your abstract will be reviewed by a conference committee after the submission deadline. Depending on submission numbers, the committee may have to make difficult choices. Notification of abstract acceptance will be on January 22, 2027.
